WebNov 7, 2013 · a normal cheap T peice boost controller merely tricks the wastegate into opening later as it sees less boost but the trouble is the wastegate doesnt snap open at say 15 psi , it opens gradually form 12 psi and is all the way open at 15. this means our boost gauge tends to snap to 12 then more slowley make its way to 15 from there.
