It’s replacement time for the stylus and, as I understand because this cartridge is basically a relabeled AT3600, there are various options for new a stylus. So i have a rega P10 with apheta 3 running through a rega aura right now, thinking about moving it on and going for a sme20, with a v arm and dynavector cartridge with the £6k cartridge fitted to it, now this is secondhand, but in great condition apparently.

The 2M Blue does sound better to the 2M Red, specifically sounding slightly more detailed and musical - worth a step up as suggested if you can stretch to it. I am pretty sure he would have difficulty checking the VTA without the new cartridge in place. He's got a RB300 by the way. It really doesn't sound too bad IMO, but you do have the option of upgrading to a nicer cartridge later. What the better arm and platter of the Planar 2 provide is a more stable platform for a good cartridge.
